Flowers of Africa III

about the artwork

peace knows no passion
it makes life a bastion
a balancing and balancing
even peace remains a freeze

it forms the cause of unfolding
the variations provide life with preservation
peace must contain war and hold against it
what stirs the senses and encounters joys and tears

peace is never sanctioned and always hovers in danger always in danger
it becomes narrower and broader and cannot keep itself
rigid it needs the awareness of all

only do not cast too soft a light on the wars
then peace will become true again
. peace will come true again
and the lust for victory will fall

Poem by Kirstin Breitenfellner
We live and then we are dead
Mortality weights
