In October, BURN-IN shows sensual art by German photo artist and actress Katrin Höhne. As part of the Diversity | Identity exhibition series, the Viennese gallery for the first time dared to stage the exciting and at the same time promising experiment artistic nude photography in black and white.
BODY SCENERIES. For the exhibition, two photo shoots took place in Berlin and Munich. BURN-IN shows 12 black-and-white works in limited editions (5 pieces) and a large-scale unique piece on ALU-DIBOND in imposing size (180 x 270 cm).
Photographic art,
which touches,
captivates
and under
the skin goes.
BURN-IN thus expands the spectrum and positions itself in a worldwide rapidly growing art sector. Because regardless of the digital flood of images, the genre is particularly captivating when the symbiosis of abstraction and compression succeeds. The detachment from real scenes and the drift towards the emotional interpretation of the moment speak for themselves.
Kathrin Höhne presents both interpretations and stagings in the series BODY SCENERIES. Scenery means for her both landscape, scenery and stage design as well as "film stills", that is, a shot during a film production. This view becomes even more understandable if you know the artist's training.
On the subject of beauty, Höhne has her own opinion. Away from perfection, her connection of form, sensuality and charisma is about a balance of body and soul, about the awareness of feeling oneself in one's own body. This power and energy of the BODY SCENERIES is for all visible, tangible and can be experienced up close.
Musical in October: In the context of the finissage on 27.10.2016, 7 pm the 5th concert under mastermind Fritz Novotny will take place. On the program doubleTHREEmotions, 7 musicians, voices & sounds improcomposed.
