Disturbed communication & rhythmic play of colors

Exhibition 03. - 31.10.2017

Station X: Disrupted Communication & Rhythmic Color Play

"There are harmonies and contrasts hidden in the colors,
that work together all by themselves."

Vincent van Gogh

In its October exhibition, BURN-IN Gallery presents two Viennese women painters whose play of colors creates very different images. The impressionistic flower paintings of Alexandra Hauschka refer exclusively to nature, in the paintings of Eva Pisa, nature is only a marginal background for her images of people.

Alexandra Hauschka

Born in Vienna, Alexandra Hauschka studied philosophy at the University of Vienna and graduated with a diploma in painting and graphics from the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich.

She was a scholarship holder at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cincinnati and the Academy of Fine Arts in Edinburgh.

Since 2003 she has lived as a freelance artist in Vienna and is a member of the Professional Association of Fine Artists in Munich and Upper Bavaria and the Professional Association of Fine Artists in Austria.

In her impressionist paintings, she works with different rhythms of brushstrokes and color tones. As with the Impressionist painters, light and atmosphere are an essential part of Hauschka's paintings.
