Economic mission JAPAN

With the WKO to Tokyo - Kyoto - Osaka.
Sonja Dolzer finds future spaces for GreenART

In April 2025, Sonja Dolzer, founder of BURN-IN, was invited by the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber to take part in the official business mission "Japan's fascinating world of design and craftsmanship". The aim of the trip was to discover new impulses for GreenART - at the intersection of art, sustainability and international positioning.

The tightly scheduled program led to the creative centers of Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka - with more than 30 appointments, including visits to renowned galleries, innovative studios, craft businesses, museums and urban future locations such as teamLab and the Knowledge Capital.

A highlight was the visit to EXPO 2025 in Osaka with exclusive access to leading pavilions. Particularly impressive: the personal encounter with Tadao Ando, Japan's world-famous architect, who spoke about light, concrete and the transformation of our cities.

GreenART - the attitude developed by BURN-IN to think of art as a driver of sustainable transformation - was not only confirmed on this trip, but further honed. The film documents this impressive journey - and makes visible what art can set in motion.
