There is always some truth to clichés.
In December 2018, BURN-IN invites you to a fantastic journey into the pictorial and word worlds of painter & graphic artist Petra Traxler-Pilgram and shows current works of the Austrian artist in the solo exhibition So oder so?! (One way or another?!)
Skillfully, Traxler-Pilgram lets her "moving figures" dance dynamically through everyday life, deliberately using clichés, stereotypes and prejudices to communicate with the viewer on a meta-level. The "pigeonholing" helps to make the information overflow bearable. However, negative prejudices and clichés often also have a discriminatory effect and create mistrust and a bad climate.
The multiple image titles thereby accentuate the image contents, steer the associations in different directions, emphasize the multidimensionality of the topic and clarify the complexity of the work series.

Thus, the works fit coherently into the BURN-IN exhibition round 2018/19, which as #KunstBotschafter has set itself the ambitious goal of transmitting sustainable impulses with artistic intervention to art enthusiasts.
The works of Traxler-Pilgram show that everything is a question of perspective. One way or another!!! Entirely in the sense of the viewer or society!
