Traxler-Pilgram was born in Villach in 1966. From 1986-1993 studied psychology, philosophy and history in Vienna, numerous courses in painting and graphics with various academic painters, teaching in Vienna since 1995, lives and works in Lower Austria, Carinthia and Vienna. Her striking black and white paintings explore the dark and complex facets of the human psyche and society. Her work is influenced by C.G. Jung and Franz Čižek.
