The theme is transforming nature - organic forms that unfold along the axis of the picture. This work is inspired by nature, but does not depict nature. The artist is interested in the forces behind the natural phenomena that make a flower blossom, for example. The departure into the blue alludes to venturing into unknown worlds where the unexpected can happen.

Characteristics and CV
Susanne Guzei-Taschner was born in Vienna in 1953 and studied graphic art from 1974 - 78 at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna under Prof. Oswald Oberhuber (graduated in 1978). This was followed in 1979 by a scholarship abroad at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow (Poland), the Vienna Art Fund Award and a state scholarship for fine arts. Member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus since 1980. Member of the Professional Association of Austrian Visual Artists since 2017. 1982-1995 worked for ORF Vienna (graphics department).
