When a switch is pressed, the white stems rise up with the elegance of ballerinas and come together under the force of the water to form an undulating movement that exactly resembles their animal model, the sea anemone. The S-shaped oscillation of the tubes is universal. It is the movement of snakes, of water waves, of the cornfield in the wind, of sperm and fish. At first it is a uniform to-and-fro of many individuals, but they influence each other. Minor deviations increase and form a diversely moving fan.
